I found this pic doing a search for a picture I saw a long time ago of a warrior angel standing guard over a father who was in prayer for his children. This is the first male angel in 30+pages of angels on google images. What is odd about that is the closest we can get to the angels as described in the Bible are either six winged and covered in eyes, or universally male warrior messengers, the idea of the weak female angel is both modern, and sad. If there is a war going on, this is the type of angel I want covering my camp. Thanks for being a little more accurate than the average artist.
I agree! Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I choose to depict angels more closely to the way they are described in the Old Testament. I haven’t worked much on those that John described in Revelation. I may do that one day, although I don’t think they will receive much “public” appreciation.
I found the “resist the devil” warrior and admire it so much. It fits so well as my youngest daughter and myself both are involved in the martial arts and have the mantle of being a princess of the King of Kings and warriors for him. My oldest two teenagers are struggling with a lot of demons right now, please pray for them.
I have been searching for good angel pictures to depict the strong male angel building protective walls, above Christians – both children and adults – speaking God’s word (repeating scriptures). This is for a bulletin board for my middle school classroom in our Christian school.
I appreciate these absolutely terrific pictures. They will be the basis for my own artwork for these bulletin boards, and will reach the kids in a whole new way. THANKS!
God bless!

This is a good angel pic. I think the one that people are looking or talking about is by Thomas Blackshear. Regard,
